Mosquito and tick service is an “all in one” service, we treat for both unless specifically requested not to. Prices represent “Starting At” rates based on treatable area. Treatable area excludes the footprint of your home and driveway, meaning you might need a smaller tier than your total lot size!” Prices reflect your choice of natural, hybrid or traditional pesticides used. First-service discount applies to new customers only. Plus applicable sales tax.
How often do you come?
That all depends on your location and how bad your mosquito and tick issue is.
How often should I get treated?
Standard Protection: Every 3 weeks (Recommended). This ensures the barrier stays strong throughout the season.
Maximum Protection: Every 2 weeks. Ideal for heavy pest pressure or high-use yards.
Note on Monthly Service: We don’t typically recommend 4-week intervals, as the treatment begins to fade after day 21, leaving a week of vulnerability.
You will be able to choose the package which suits you best, every 2-3 weeks, and if you don’t know which one is best for you, we can help you out and/or change up your schedule to make it work out in a way that is best for you!

What is the differences between natural, hybrid and traditional treatments?
The type of materials used for each treatment is dictated by both the customer and the law:
1: Natural Treatments – Uses minimum risk US EPA 25(b) exempt products. This option is best for home located on or near waterways, lakes, and especially useful for homes with extensive food gardens where traditional pesticides cannot be used. These products usually consist of a variety of natural oils, such as cedar oil, lemongrass, clove oil etc to both repel and unalive mosquitoes and ticks.
2: Hybrid Treatments – (Recommended) Dealer’s choice here. Depending on the severity of the issue, location and time of year we mix up our products to best suit the situation. This may include both traditional pesticides and (25)B exempt pesticides.
3: Traditional Treatments – Recommended for severe infestations or mosquitoes and/or ticks. These treatments are designed for maximum efficacy and use traditional pesticides. May not be available in certain locations.
With all three levels of treatments, our goal is the reduction of mosquito and tick populations ONLY. By utilizing proper targeting and equipment, we strive to mitigate any secondary exposure to beneficial insects and pollinators. Upon initial inspection of your property, Buzz Off reserves the right to decline treating certain areas if they provide harborage for pollinators or other beneficial insects.

Is your service safe for myself, my kids and my pets?
Our mosquito and tick products are labeled “safe when dry”, which means exactly what it sounds like. In pest control, nationwide, the number one thing to remember is “The label is the law”
By law, a pesticide applicator cannot use the words “safe”, “harmless”, “(insert organism here)-friendly” etc. If someone is using that terminology to describe their products, you should definitely take caution when hiring them. What we can say is that we have selected targeted, effective products that are known (as per the label) to have minimal effects on people, pets, beneficial insects and the environment.
Buzz Off doesn’t carry restricted use pesticides, organophosphates or chlorinated hydrocarbons… aka the really nasty stuff. Additionally, we are out there applying these products on a daily basis and don’t want ourselves or our employees exposed to anything that could harm us or them.

What is the difference between Mosquito Season Only and Full Season protection
Mosquitoes and ticks have two separate life cycles throughout the year.
Our Full Season Protection provides service for ticks when they are most active, which is from Early March – the end of November. If the temperature is above 40 degrees the ticks are out “questing” for their next blood meal.
Our Mosquito Season Protection provides reduction of mosquitoes and ticks, but mainly during peak mosquito season, which lasts from late-April/early-May through the end of September.
