Buzz Off Mosquito & Tick Control can help make mosquito season more bearable with our comprehensive insect control services.
We understand that mosquito bites are more than just a nuisance – they can be dangerous as well. That is why BUZZ OFF uses the most advanced mosquito control methods available. Our mosquito control technicians will assess your property and develop a custom treatment plan tailored to your needs. We take mosquito and tick infestations seriously, and our team will do everything we can to keep your family safe from these pesky insects.
We utilize a mixture all natural, hybrid and integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to effectively treat your property. Our philosophy is not to simply coat your backyard with dangerous chemicals, nor offer a one size fits all solution, aka “spray & pray” to treat your property.
Our service begins with an inspection to find out where your problem spots are. Then we treat your the perimeter of your property (where the skeeters and ticks live) with our solutions. We use great care to only use solutions that are labeled to have minimal impact to pets, humans or pollinators except when absolutely necessary. In addition to our regular services, at certain times of year we utilize mosquito selective insect growth regulators to keep infestations from coming back.
This multifaceted approach allows us to provide our customers with a dramatic decrease in pest populations while protecting the surrounding environment.
Stop dealing with mosquito and tick bites all summer long. Let Buzz Off Mosquito & Tick Control help protect you and your family with our mosquito control services. Get in touch today to learn more about how we can make the spring, summer and fall more bearable for you and your family!

Mosquito Facts:
– There are over 60 different species of mosquitoes that are found in New Jersey, with some of the most common being Aedes vexans, Culex pipiens, and Anopheles.
– Although mosquitoes in NJ are most active during the summer months, from June to September when the temperatures are warm and humidity is high, they can be a problem as early as March and as late as November.
– Mosquitoes breed in standing water, such as ponds, pools, and even small puddles. A culex mosquito can lay as many as 300 eggs in the cap of a water bottle.
– In New Jersey, mosquitoes can transmit diseases such as West Nile virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, and Zika virus.
– Mosquitoes are attracted to people who produce more carbon dioxide and body heat, such as those who are physically active or pregnant. They are also attracted to certain scents, such as perfumes and scented lotions. Although the scientific studies are in disagreement on this, its also said that the food you eat can make you more or less attractive to mosquitoes.
– Mosquitoes can be difficult to control as they can breed in small amounts of standing water that may go unnoticed. In addition to larvicides, effective mosquito control programs may also use adulticides to kill adult mosquitoes. Keeping that in mind, these chemicals can also have negative impacts on other insects and the environment, so they are used sparingly and with caution by experts.
– While male mosquitoes feed on nectar and plant juices, female mosquitoes require a blood meal to produce eggs. After feeding, females can rest for several days before laying their eggs.
– To help control mosquito populations, NJ government agencies conduct regular mosquito surveillance and control programs on public land. This includes monitoring mosquito breeding sites and using larvicides to prevent mosquito larvae from developing into adults.
